Program Your Subconscious Mind With These 5 Mindful Mind Hacks

Your mind is like an iceberg. Your conscious mind is the small part above the surface. Your subconscious mind is like the large part below the surface. It files your memories, experiences, perceptions, and insights and maintains them far beyond the recollection of your conscious mind. These files can have a tremendous impact on your beliefs, habits, and general behavior and can block your success. But it doesn’t have to be this way. There are mindful mind hacks you can use to program your subconscious mind for success.

Today we’re going to look how you can use mindful mind hacking to program your subconscious mind to take you to where you want to go in life.

5 Mindful Mind Hacks You Can Use to Program Your Subconscious Mind

The following strategies will help you program your mind a way that benefits your mind, body, and sprit.

1. Positive Affirmations

Most people are familiar with positive affirmations, positive statements that you repeat to yourself each day. This mindful mind hack is a powerful way to program your subconscious mind, but you need to use it correctly.

Here’s how:

a. Don’t lie to yourself by telling yourself things that are clearly untrue. While your subconscious is flexible, it’s not willing to seriously consider the ridiculous. Repeating an affirmation like, “I am a billionaire,” is so factually untrue (unless you are already a multi-millionaire) your subconscious will reject it.

A better affirmation such as, “My financial situation is improving rapidly” is easier to swallow and more likely to be accompanied by behavioral change.

b. Use imagery and emotions to really sell it. See yourself as thin, financially successful, or selling your first novel. Now, generate the same emotion you would have in that situation.

c. Repeat your affirmations 3 times per day for 5-10 minutes each. Good times are right before falling asleep, right after awakening, and sometime during the day where you need your affirmations’ help.

For example, if you are working on your self-confidence, repeat your affirmations when you’re feeling self-doubt.

2. Subliminal Technology

There is software available that flashes subliminal messages on your computer screen. These programs can run all day long in the background, without your awareness. You can use the affirmations included with the software or write your own.

There are also audio programs with positive messages embedded in the music beyond your ability to consciously recognize.

One thing to note is there is a lot of controversy surrounding the usefulness of these programs. Find some that you can get a free trail and try them out for a month. See what happens.

3. Hypnosis

I have been a hypnotherapist for years and have used hypnosis to help thousands of people. The thing about hypnosis is it is a natural state. In fact, I guarantee you have been hypnotized many times in your life. You just did not view it as hypnosis. These are times when you’re totally engrossed in a book or movie. These are cases where you are self-hypnotized.

The fact is hypnosis is just a state of intense concentration while not being consciously aware of what is happening in your immediate environment. This is similar to when are concentrating on a problem while driving and get to your destination without remembering your drive. You were driving the car but unaware of your surrounding or even that you were driving. This is very much a hypnotic state.

When you are in this state is your mind is more suggestible and open to positive suggestions. This is the power of hypnosis. You can use it to program your subconscious mind. You relax, listen to positive suggestions and, over time, wonderful things can happen.

Many books, audio programs, and videos utilize hypnotic techniques. Many people find these highly effective, while others seem less impressed. Again, try it out yourself to determine if it is worth your time.

4. Practice Mindfulness

Practicing mindfulness is a great way of concentrating your focus. Mindfulness meditation is simply paying attention as you do some activity, such as brushing your teeth or washing the dishes.

Paying attention creates a mental state that opens the mind to new ideas. You can learn it quite effectively from books and videos. While mindfulness is an excellent method to program your subconscious mind, it does require practice, so this is not a quick fix.

5. Practice Visualization

Visualization is a great way to program your subconscious mind. This is because use can use visualization to program your subconscious mind for success.

Athletes use visualization to see themselves successfully completing a routine or activity. This allows them to better complete it in practice or competition.

The same goes for things you want to do. For example, visualizing yourself giving successful speeches. Here your subconscious helps you deliver your talks smoother and with more confidence.

Like affirmations, a good time to practice visualization is right before falling asleep and right after you wake in the morning. This is because your mind is already relaxed.

Use These Processes to Program Your Subconscious Mind

As we have discussed, you are only aware of a tiny portion of what your brain is doing at any moment. It is dealing with far too much information for your conscious mind to process. Your brain is controlling your body temperature, blood pressure, pulse and digestion. It controls concentrations of various salts, neurotransmitters and hormones.

It also is taking in far more sensory data than you are aware. For example, right now, what does the shirt you are wearing feel like on your arm? Until right this moment, I am positive you didn’t have any idea or even care.

The same is true for your behavior. Your subconscious mind controls nearly all of your behavior. Some say as much as 95%. Wouldn’t you agree that it makes sense to address this 95%?

The good news is you can. You can use these techniques to program your subconscious mind and start living the life you want to live.

Stop letting your subconscious mind hold you back. Pick one these techniques and see all you can accomplish!
